Cocoon
I look around and all I see, are a whole bunch of people staring down at screens. I try to approach and start a conversation. A blank expression is all I am facing. It’s like people do not know how to interact anymore. A meaningful conversation is all I am looking for.
No inter-personal relationship skills, it’s like trying to talk to a caveman. A new language of symbols, oh wait that was started in Egypt’s land. We can’t even use words anymore, it’s an emoji or an abbreviation. The world is getting moronic, the simplest of questions require extreme contemplation.
Why are we regressing, going back into the cocoon? Had we not already blossomed? A beautiful butterfly with wings clipped too soon. We have forgotten how to fly. A vicious sentence to the ground. Destined to repeat our mistakes, because we couldn’t take a look around. Hello, it’s me, and I am standing right in front of you. Waiting for a meaningful exchange of energy to pick us up and pull us through. How can we unite, if you can’t even talk to me? The predicament we have put ourselves in, is quite the atrocity.
